Acts 2:44&47 “All the believers were together and had everything in common. Praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily, those who were being saved.
Our worship experience for Solution Youth & Young Adults happens every Wednesday & Thursday nights (see service times). This is where we corporately lift up the name of Jesus and offer junior high, high school, college students, & young adults an opportunity to encounter God.
You can expect excellent worship and a relevant message at every single service that we have. We believe strongly in presenting a creative, exciting, and life impacting service each week.
IONS: SMALL GROUPS
Acts 5:42 “Day after Day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Christ.”
Small Groups, or as we like to call them, “IONS,” are the main ingredient of our ministry. These groups meet in host homes and locations in the greater Gainesville area. Our goal is to have every single student and young adult participating in an ION, because life is meant to be lived together in true community.
Small groups meet on the 1st and 3rd weekends of the month and will normally last for about an hour and a half. This time will consist of conversation, where people can truly connect with each other and the leaders, as well as an in-depth discipleship time where everyone can take a moment to really dig into the Word of God. There is curriculum given to every small group each week that is derived from our weekly sermons and messages preached in our current series.
WHAT PURPOSE DOES AN ION SERVE IN MY LIFE?
It provides the opportunity for you to engage with sermons on a deeper level with people that are doing life with you. It also gives you the ability to apply Biblical principles to your own life as well as the chance to serve as an ION at various outreach opportunities.
DO I HAVE TO ATTEND ANY ONE PARTICULAR ION?
No, you have the freedom to attend a group of your choice within your gender.
1 Corinthians 4:1 “So then, men ought to regard us as servants of Christ and as those entrusted with the secret things of God.”
This is the discipleship/leadership initiative within our ministry. C4:1 meets weekly one hour before each service.
The name C4:1 comes from 1 Corinthians 4:1. This is our theme scripture as we strive to develop students and young adults into servants of Christ and good stewards of the Word of God in their lives. At C4:1 students and young adults are challenged to grow in their personal walk with the Lord. We do this through scripture memorization, Bible reading plans, book reading and discussion, and ministry team involvement. If you want to be a leader in our ministry… C4:1 is the place to be.
Matthew 25:40 “I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.”
REACH (Responsible Effort & Active Community Help) is the mission and justice arm of our ministry. This if for people who have a heart to serve, a willingness to sacrifice personal time for others, and desire to be a part of the great commission that Christ gave us. We will go into the world by spreading the Gospel and truly showing the love of Christ through actions.
REACH activities will range from feeding the homeless, cleaning up local parks, teaming up with other mission organizations to fulfill their vision, Kidz Life activities at Free Chapel, and many more opportunities. These activities will be announced weeks in advance so that everyone has ample time to prepare and work out your personal schedule.
We believe that it is vital that we give back to out community and teach students and young adults the value and the heart of a servant. Jesus came to serve, not to be served, and through REACH, we are determined to raise up a generation who are more concerned with giving back and pouring out, rather than simply always receiving and being poured into.
